Meet Our Founders
AWRISE was founded by Florence Kalipa who is also the managing director
Florence is a professional woman who has spent most of her adult years in a corporate environment, executing IT projects and building corporate strategies. Her passion however is people and that has encouraged her to startup AWRISE. AWRISE is short for “Woman arise & shine”, as per the voice that stirred her up to start this initiative which has been her first love but secondary responsibility as part of her church duties. Her passion for youth development and philanthropy started many years ago and she’s been a speaker and a social outreach event planner from her youth. She holds a B.Sc. Computer Science(Wits), B.A.
Psychology(ICP), Dip. Project Man (UNISA), Cert. in Christian Counselling (Rhema Bible Church) and is a lay minister in her church. Her personal message Giving meaning to humanity is to give meaning to life, everyone deserves an opportunity to find meaning in life.
